Alright, let's dive right into this fantastic lineup of events happening this April at New Bethel Baptist Church! I mean, talk about a vibrant community, right?
Samuel Rivers
Absolutely. Palm Sunday is kicking it off on April 13th, and it's packed with meaning. Pastor Dianna will be focusing her sermon on Luke 19 verses 28 through 40.
Zoe Willows
"From Triumph to Tragedy."
Samuel Rivers
Exactly. It’s such a profound take on Holy Week, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. Plus, there’ll be special music by Kevin Stone and Jacki Greig and even a video presentation. It sounds really, really powerful.
Zoe Willows
Oh, for sure. And then, there’s Maundy Thursday on April 17 at 6 pm—
Samuel Rivers
—right, with the Last Supper drama reenactment. It's both reflective and immersive, helping us contemplate community and sacrifice.
Zoe Willows
And we can't skip Easter Sunday on April 20. Resurrection, renewal, the whole celebration vibe—it’s all happening at 10:30 a.m. It’s basically the highlight of the month!
Samuel Rivers
Indeed. It’s a beautiful capstone for Holy Week. But, Zoe, I think we also have to talk about the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 19 at 10 am!
Zoe Willows
Oh my gosh, yes! The excitement it brings, especially for the little ones, is just so heartwarming. I remember last year—
Samuel Rivers
Hang on, are you gonna tell the story about that kid again?
Zoe Willows
Of course! Okay, so, this one little boy was convinced he’d found the "golden egg," but it was just an orange egg with a glitter sticker. It was adorable!
Samuel Rivers
That’s what these moments are about, you know—bringing families and the community together to celebrate not just spring, but faith and connection.
Zoe Willows
And there’s more coming up in May, like the blood drive and breakfast combo on the 3rd. I mean, donate blood, get biscuits and gravy—that’s how you do it, folks.
Samuel Rivers
And kudos to the mission team. Their initiative to thank Adam’s Elementary educators with refreshments and treats is such a meaningful way to give back.
Zoe Willows
Totally. They’re collecting everything from coffee drinks to tiny honey jars—creative and thoughtful!
Samuel Rivers
And let’s not forget the ongoing work with God’s Bounty food pantry—just another example of how this church community continues to serve and inspire.
Zoe Willows
Yep, it’s never a dull moment at NBBC! Well, listeners, we hope you’ll check out some of these events, and maybe even get involved. Thanks for tuning in today!
Samuel Rivers
And that’s it for us. Until next time, stay safe and engaged with your community.
Zoe Willows
Catch you later!
